Story:
Juliette, a young girl from small provincial French town, marries Jean, the captain of the river barge Atalante. They start their married life aboard the barge, the home of two other crew members.
Juliette gets bored by the life on the river and while the barge is docking at Paris, she sneaks out to see the nightlife.
As poetic as it is realistic, Jean Vigo’s L’Atalante passionately deals with relevant themes through the story of two star-crossed lovers.
