Story:
The story is based on the actual record of the trial of Joan of Arc.
The national heroine led the French in numerous military battles against the English, but in 1430 her force was ambushed and she was captured. This is where the movie picks up the story-line. Joan is facing a trial for heresy, and her fate is in the hands of a French clergymen who is loyal to the English.
