A thief falls in love with the daughter of the Caliph of Bagdad, who would give her hand to the suitor who brings her the rarest treasure within seven months. The thief embarks on a magical journey, but another suitor does not play by the rules.
The story is based on the elements of the One Thousand and One Nights, also known as the Arabian Nights folk tale collection, compiled during the Islamic Golden Age. Would you like to read the book?
It requires some viewing commitment, but this beautifully assembled showcase for Douglas Fairbanks’ acting offers some splendid treats for classic film fans.
